Description Summary:
Perform brewery operations through assigned tasks covering all aspects of the brewing, bottling, and sanitizing process under the direction of Brewery Management. Undergo training on different brewery functions and processes, using the knowledge and skills learned to contribute and improve operations and efficiency in the brewing process.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform bottling, canning, and packaging needs on the production line.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Handle and organize product that will be stored in warehouses and storage areas.
- Perform cellar activities such as tank cleaning, yeast harvesting, liquid transfers, filtration, and environmental cleaning.
- Transfer finished product to the packaging line from package release tanks.
- Complete operation and safety training on all lab and packaging equipment on a regular basis.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policies.
- Follow Cincinnati Beverage Company safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualitifications:
Education: No requirements. Bachelor's Degree in Brewing, food science, or related field preferred. No certifications required, but are welcomed.
Experience: No requirements. Previous Brewing experience is preferred.
Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
- Possess knowledge and passion for brewing industry.
- Possess proficiency with computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office.
- Able to plan, organize and manage time effectively.
- Possess basic mathematic skills, specifically in arithmetic and algebra.
Other Requirements:
Standing and moving for approximately 6-8 hours at or around production lines, little to no sitting unless during break times. Other Physical Activity like using stairs or moving items weighing up to 50lbs may be required as needed. Some travel may be required.
Wok Environment:
Most work is performed in an indoor, brewing facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery in a wet, humid environment with exposure to hot and cold liquids, noise, gases, and dust. Safety wear is required, which may include hard hats, hairnets, hearing protection, safety glasses, protective boots, coats and other necessary equipment. Very little work is performed outside of the manufacturing facility.
