- Civic Space Management and Programming - 3CDC manages and programs six civic spaces – Fountain Square, Washington Park, Ziegler Park, Memorial Hall, Court Street Plaza and Imagination Alley. 3CDC hosts nearly 1,600 free family-friendly events each year at these spaces.
- Business District Management – The organization manages two special improvement districts – the Downtown Cincinnati Improvement District and Over-the-Rhine South Special Improvement District – providing clean and safe services, homeless outreach, beatification efforts and marketing support to both districts.
Job Summary:
The Lead Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and light maintenance work at various 3CDC spaces throughout downtown. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the overall appearance of the facility while performing maintenance tasks as needed. This role is essential to ensure a hygienic and organized environment, supporting both the operational needs and overall safety of the premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting throughout the facility.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash containers and manage waste disposal in accordance with recycling guidelines.
- Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies as necessary.
- Conduct light maintenance tasks, including:
- Painting and touch-ups to maintain a fresh appearance.
- Minor repairs and maintenance, such as fixing squeaky doors or replacing light fixtures or fixing minor plumbing issues
- Assisting with other light maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Report any significant maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
- Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
- Must be willing to work second shift with one weekend day
- General building or facility maintenance experience
- Thorough understanding of cleaning and lite maintenance.
- Ability to perform general repairs, such as plumbing, mechanical and cleaning maintenance.
- Desire a minimum of six months’ worth of experience in a related field.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate with management
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people (both internal and external)
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organizational skills, work habits, and consistent follow-through.
- Must be able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
Physical and Mental Demands: (ability to lift 50 lbs, ability to be mobile for up to 8 hours
- Able to speak and hear employees on the phone or in person.
- Body motor skills enough to enable employee to move around the office and work environment.
