JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Orders - Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses. Non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including preparation of oral syringes from liquid dosage forms. Delivery of patient specific doses. Prepare and perform ADC replenishment. Performs outpatient phone triage. Performs insurance adjudication. Performs medication storage inspections.
Compounding - Performs Sterile compounding or non-sterile hazardous compounding.
Tech Check Tech - Under authorized program is able to check the work of another pharmacy technician.
Medication Management - Manages medication doses on the nursing unit in decentralized pharmacy operations.
Phone Triage - Performs inpatient phone triage
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of work experience in a related job discipline
3 years high volume IV experience
Certified via Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or certified within 6 months of hire Registered with Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
