Manager, Patient Services - Behavioral Safety Team
Overview: Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a dynamic manager to join our team. This exciting opportunity involves supporting staff members who work directly with medical patients who also have behavioral needs. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Operations:
- Provide exceptional patient care and support within your area.
- Lead charge/shift duties as needed and act as a liaison to promote safe, quality patient care across departments.
Policies & Practices:
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures that guide and support departmental operations and services.
Performance Development:
- Develop and monitor effective staffing and retention strategies, including hiring and terminating employees.
- Partner with department leadership to ensure effective performance management of direct reports.
- Establish and maintain orientation procedures for new employees.
- Mentor and provide learning and development opportunities for direct reports.
- Collaborate with human resources and department leadership to meet talent management goals.
- Support organizational programs and ensure communication, comprehension, and adherence to all HR policies and legal requirements.
People Planning:
- Manage the selection, development, motivation, appraisal, and discipline of personnel.
- Ensure job requirements and goals are clear to employees.
- Delegate responsibilities and establish clear lines of accountability.
- Determine and document the qualifications and competence of division personnel.
- Provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for division personnel.
Budget Management:
- Assist with fiscal responsibilities of the department as requested.
- Monitor budget expenditures and identify variances/problems.
- Assist in tracking and monitoring revenue, expenses, and allocations.
- Provide applicable reports and research information for major purchases.
- May assist with annual budget preparation.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
