- Policy Development- Assist in the development, revision and communication of division and hospital-wide policies and procedures. Promote awareness, interpretation and implementation of these policies.
- Professional Development- Assist staff in identifying and meeting ongoing learning needs and pursuing opportunities for professional development.
- Educational Materials- Coordinate the planning, designing, implementation and evaluation of patient/parent educational materials and programs.
- Training- Provides training or facilitation services to a designated audience with a designated topic focus. Utilizes working knowledge of adult learning theory to effectively prioritize training needs and to tailor content and delivery to audience needs. Co-sponsor educational programs with other organizations.
- Content Development- Participates in planning and developing programs using existing learning content as a foundation for development. Works with subject matter experts to promote the utilization of best practices in the design and development of learning. Collaborate with other departments in hospital wide education programs.
