At CCC, the Pool Manager is responsible for representing the highest standard of service and a respected example for their peers to look to for support. As the Pool Manager, you are a part of our management team, and you will supervise staff during your shifts. You will ensure that everyone at the pool is safe and receives the utmost care and service.

A Pool Manager requires high levels of organization, problem-solving and communication skills. You will also be responsible for the wellbeing of our members as well as our staff. Ultimately, your main responsibility is to ensure that the pool staff provide positive experiences for our members.

Reports To: F&B Director, F&B Assistant Director

Supervises: Pool Staff, Lifeguards, Pool Servers, and Pool Captains


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2 years of management experience with exceptional skills to influence our pool staff, pool captains, lifeguards, and servers.
  • Strong communication and people skills while also cognizant of the bottom line and generating revenue.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment that doesn't sacrifice quality with quantity.
  • Flexible schedule
  • Bartending Experience is a plus
  • CPR certified


Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:

  • You are a part of our management team and will maintain the following programs: dining/bar services at the cabana, dining service/snack service via the snack shack, overseeing our relationship with swim safe lifeguards, overseeing the safety of the members and staff around the pool area.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the pool including the cabana, the bar, the west deck, sun deck, the baby pool area, the lawn area, the snack shack, the lanai, the lanai bar, the lanai patio, The lower-level kitchen, the grilles and the coffee station.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workstation as well as update Side Work Sheets to be up to date while communicating any inventory and purchase orders required to operate the pool efficiently and effectively.
  • Represent CCC standards and the mission of the ACCORN values.
  • Complete, delegate and support management by carrying out any opening and closing pool duties and ensure the pool set-up is up to Health Department standards.
  • Assist and participate in the development of seasonal menu implementations for the beverage and food program.
  • Support and participate in product and skill educational opportunities and the development of the manager or pool training program for all staff.
  • Well-versed and knowledgeable about all menu items (food and drink), pairing opportunities and upselling to provide optimal guest / member experience.
  • Posting a weekly schedule for staff to be here.
  • Check identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products as well as determine when a customer has had too much alcohol.
  • Running inventory for snack shack and FOH needs weekly. Running hard inventory for snack shack on the first of every month. Reporting inventory needs and hard reports to purchasing and inventory manager.
  • Communicating with swim safe management team on needs and rules.
  • Reporting issues with equipment and chemicals to AGM and Maintenance.
  • Attending weekly manager F&B Meetings on Wednesdays at 2pm.
  • Setting up and taking down for card players weekly/daily.
  • Hiring/Firing/Writing up and disciplining your pool staff.
  • Keeping employees happy, engaged, and appreciated.
  • Ensuring we maintain and even improve our yearly survey results for the pool.
  • Having the knowledge and expertise to understand when you will need to jump in and help host, run the snack shack, run the check-in, bartend, laundry service for towels and serve.
  • Directs preshift lineups twice a day when running the shift.
  • Coaching up your captains to be able run the shift just as smoothly as you would when you are out.
  • Checks all tickets at the end of shift, runs report numbers in our P.O.S and sends the report to F&B nightly email.
  • Minimize labor costs by going to a barebone staff when pool is not busy.
  • Make weather calls with F&B Director, General Manager or Assistant Directors Approval. Communicating with Director of communications and front desk when calls are made. If staying open only keeping one or two staff members in case of members dining in.

·     Is knowledgeable about and consistently follows policies and procedures in employee handbook.

·     Must be able to work holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast-paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
