POSITION SUMMARY : This position is responsible for sorting; arranging in order; and shelving returned materials. This position is also responsible for maintaining and retrieving material in all formats at a branch location.
DUTIES
Sorts and shelves books, magazines, pamphlets, audiovisual materials and other materials accurately for branch.
Provides proactive customer service by assisting with directional and simple reference questions.
Retrieves materials for customer holds and processes requests from other agencies.
Assists with merchandising.
Shelf reads according to schedule for accurate order of materials.
Shifts and straightens materials as necessary.
Searches for misplaced or lost materials.
Assists with weeding, as assigned.
Pulls materials requiring mending or binding.
Assists with training for new Shelvers as directed.
Assists with processing donations.
QUALIFICATIONS :

Must be a full-time student or high school graduate or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Hours
12 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
