Armleder Physical Education Teacher Preschool - Grade 6

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire and educate students in preschool through sixth grade. The ideal candidate will foster a love for physical activity, teamwork, and personal health while integrating Christian values into the curriculum. The PE Teacher will play a key role in encouraging students to honor God through active, healthy lifestyles and good sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate PE lessons that align with the school's mission: Learn, Lead, and Serve.
- Teach fundamental motor skills, movement patterns, and sportsmanship while promoting lifelong fitness habits.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment where students of all abilities feel encouraged and challenged.
- Integrate biblical principles into lessons, modeling Christ-like character and leadership.
- Promote teamwork, cooperation, and respect among students.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support physical, social, and emotional development.
- Organize and oversee school-wide fitness events, field days, and extracurricular physical activities.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to support student growth and align with the school's mission.
- Ensure a safe and structured environment by maintaining equipment, enforcing safety rules, and supervising students effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field (required).
- Teaching certification/licensure (required).
- Prior experience teaching PE to elementary-aged students (preferred).
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate physical activities.
- Committed Christian with a passion for integrating faith into teaching.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and Christ-centered learning environment.
