PK 2 Lead Teacher

Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Faculty

Start Date: August 11, 2025

Schedule - M-F, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., following the school calendar

Reporting To: Early Childhood Learning Center Principal

Job Summary: Educate preschool aged children, creating an engaging environment in which students can thrive and learn.

  • Responsible for all instruction in preschool classroom, including care and nurture of all enrolled students
  • Able to communicate effectively, possessing developed verbal and written interpersonal skills
  • Able to assess the social emotional, academic developmental needs of the young child
  • Plan engaging/creative developmentally appropriate activities to make a rich classroom experience
  • Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively, developing positive relationships with the ECLC staff, administrators, parents, and students
  • Able to integrate Christian principles into the child's learning experiences and nurture their faith

Qualifications:

  • Minimum - Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with preschool age children
  • Current Ohio teaching license
  • Strong Christian background
  • Familiar with Reggio Inspired Approach to Early Childhood Education

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
