As a Direct Service Professional (DSP), you will be essential in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in various settings, including private homes, group homes or assisted living facilities. Your core responsibilities will involve assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), patient observation, and ensuring a safe environment. Your skills in first aid, cooking, and cleaning will enhance the quality of care provided. Essential Functions of the Role
- Ensure that the Health and Safety needs of the individual is paramount.
- Become part of a team that creates and sustains a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture.
- Promote and support the appropriate level of independent living; which may include teaching, oversight, and hands-on assistance with the activities of daily living
- Encourage an individual’s engagement in social and community activities as well as appropriate physical/wellness activities
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 50 per week
