This role is responsible for assisting in providing legal advice to various entities and operational areas within The Cincinnati Insurance Companies. This is a staff corporate counsel position that will report directly to a vice president in Corporate Legal. The position has considerable room for professional growth and advancement.This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, OH. Many departments at our Headquarters offer hybrid work options, empowering associates to work from home several days a week. Depending on your role and responsibilities, hybrid options may be available.Starting pay : The pay range for this position is $70,000- $105,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.Be ready to : provide timely and efficient legal advice to internal customers in a dynamic business and legal environment on varied matters of property and casualty insurance, life insurance and annuities, associate benefits, investment operations and complianceassist management in identifying and containing legal riskpartner with key stakeholders to further corporate development and execute on business initiativesperform special projects and other duties as assignedmanage outside counsel in outsourced legal work such as general litigation, insurance regulatory disputes, investment operations and other operational areasoffer practical and solution-focused legal advice that furthers business objectives while ensuring alignment with company policies and standards, as well as compliance with statutory, administrative and regulatory lawBe equipped with : a basic understanding of insurance underwriting, claims handling and regulationanalytical and problem-solving skillsinterpersonal and communication skills, both written and oralthe ability to perform multidisciplinary collaborationa deep understanding of the company’s vision and strategya proven record of being an ambitious and conscientious team playerBring education and experience from : a law degree from an ABA accredited law schoolan active license to practice law in Ohioin-house counsel experience (preferred)three years of legal experience (preferred)Enhance your talentsProviding outstanding service and developing strong relationships with our independent agents are hallmarks of our company.
