Job Purpose: Support the Communications & Marketing department with a variety of duties and responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Communications team to write stories for Reds.com and help with other copywriting, editing and proofreading assignments
- Assist Marketing team with tasks such as cataloging advertising materials and organizing trafficking reports and promotional recap materials
- Help Advertising & Media Manager with scripts and data entry
- Compile promotional examples from other MLB teams and conduct other benchmarking duties as assigned
- Support Communications team with game day needs at the ballpark and promotional events off-site
- Work with Director of Public Relations & Photography on office tasks and event planning
- Distribute promotional items departmentally and to local media partners
- Assist with prize fulfillment for online and offline sweepstakes/contests
- Other general clerical tasks as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Preliminary copywriting experience
- Strong knowledge of the Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with X, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms
- Excellent time management and strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and photo editing/clipping experience a plus.
Schedule:
Approximately 20-25 hours per week; some night/weekend hours will be required, including games.

- This is a seasonal opportunity; no benefits will be provided.
- Seasonal employment will last a maximum of 35 weeks.
