Job Summary: Responsible for compounding non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations under the supervision of the compounding pharmacist.
Core Responsibilities:
- Non-sterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of topical medications, and nasal preparations. Additionally, hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in non-sterile compounding
- Position requires close attention to detail
- Standards for accuracy and potency shall be consistently met
- Compounding technician shall compound Simple medications (as defined by USP 795 and USP 800), fill and label prescriptions and prepackage bulk medications
- Must be aware of SDS and Certificates of Analysis and perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniques
- Technicians shall work under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Follow SOP and PCAB guidelines and restrictions
- Must be registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and appear in the Ohio License look-up search.
USP 800 - Hazardous Drug compounding experience preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
