Student Worker: Student Activities – Open Gym

Overview:

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is seeking individual that can assist the Student Activities Office as a student worker for open gym. Position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the willingness to assist faculty, staff and fellow students, during Open Gym.

Student Worker Duties:

• Signing in students and checking Surge cards (collecting open gym data).
• Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Perform opening/closing responsibilities ensuring the gym is restored to original status.
• Assist Gym Attendant in Open gym operations
• Deliver items left behind to “Lost & Found” Student Activities 204 ATLC.
• Monitor the gym for damage and report any issues to immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Students cannot be eligible for the Pell Grant through FAFSA.
• Must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
• Must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications for position:

• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate/interact effectively with a diverse population.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, work independently, be a team player.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.
  
  
  

Hours: 16 hours per week:

Tuesdays: 10:00am to 2:00pm

Wednesdays: 12:00pm to 4:00pm

Fridays: 3:00pm to 7:00pm

Hourly Pay: $14.00 per hour
