About the Role
Cincinnati State Technical & Community College is seeking a part-time Airport Ramp Agent to provide exceptional customer service and perform critical line technician duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet, park, tow, move, and marshal aircraft in the ramp area with precision and attention to safety protocols.
- Assist with wing-walking duties as required, ensuring seamless airport operations.
- Monitor air-to-ground ratios to maintain optimal efficiency.
- Help customers with hangar or tie-down parking arrangements, providing personalized assistance.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as lubricating hangar doors and replacing runway lights to ensure smooth airport functions.
- Monitor runway, environmental, and weather conditions affecting air traffic and piloting needs, making informed decisions to ensure safe operations.
- Clear snow from walkways and ramp areas promptly to maintain accessibility.
- Support flight school customers, including scheduling aircraft use, to meet their specific needs.
- Clean and maintain the ramp, building, and customer areas, including restrooms, to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Dispense and oversee fuel dispensing (if handled by owners), ensuring accurate and efficient fuel management.
- Conduct fuel quality tests as assigned, maintaining the highest level of quality control.
- Process sales invoices and track monies due or exchanged, managing financial transactions effectively.
- Complete other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Inspect oil levels and clean windscreens on customer aircraft as requested, providing top-notch customer service.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Lift 50 pounds, meeting physical demands of the role.
- Work flexible schedules based on airport business needs, demonstrating adaptability.
- Maintain fuel servicing certification after completing training, ensuring up-to-date skills.
- Climb a 6-foot step ladder while carrying a fuel hose with one hand, meeting physical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working around aircraft and airports, providing relevant industry knowledge.
