Student Worker: Student Worker Automotive
Overview:
Cincinnati State is seeking a student worker that is interested in learning about maintaining the various labs and areas of the Automotive department. Some of the duties and responsibilities consists of keeping the labs and service desk clean and organized, assist with moving of cars and equipment from floor for scrubbing schedule, placing shop tools daily in their assigned location, maintaining lab vehicles and shop equipment. In addition, to the above you will also be assisting the Instructors as needed with maintaining shop supplies. This position requires that you have excellent customer service skills, are professional, responsible, reliable and punctual. The position is a temporary, semester by semester appointment, and is contingent upon maintaining current enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to work minimum of 18 to 20 hours per week.
- Ability to physically lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Have basic tool set on campus to work on vehicle you may also use shop tools
- Experienced Automotive student
- Keep lab area organized and clean
- Put away shop tools and organize parts in proper boxes
- Clean and organize service desk
- Assist in setting up labs for classes
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
"The hiring of student workers by Cincinnati State is premised on eligibility guidelines for federal work study employment: eligible applicants must be high school graduates or have attained a GED. Additionally, eligible applicants for work study positions at Cincinnati State must be at least 16 years of age on or before the date of hire."
- Must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Must have completed 12 credit hours with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Hourly Pay: $14.00 per hour
Hours: 10 to 15 hours per week.
