Cooperative Education Student Office Assistant - Engineering & Information Technologies (EIT) Division
Overview :
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is seeking a student with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to fill a cooperative education position in the Engineering and Information Technologies (EIT) Division. As a Cooperative Education Student serving as the front office divisional receptionist / clerical assistant, you must be professional, responsible, reliable, and punctual. This position requires working up to 40 hours per week. The schedule for this position varies based on your class schedule and availability. The EIT office is open from 8am-4 : 30pm.
Essential Duties :
Serve as receptionist / clerical assistant for the division, first point of contact to answer three extension phone lines; schedule advisor / faculty / co-op coordinator appointments utilizing Starfish; make courtesy calls and route / handle general office voicemail messages; maintain organization of break room; and, replenishing copy paper requiring light lifting (50lbs or less). Provide excellent customer service to students, visitors, faculty / staff. Answer a variety of questions, and direct to appropriate staff / faculty / department. Distribute incoming mail and packages. Type various documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :
- Ability to think and work independently, as well as, in a team environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Student must meet, and continue to meet, satisfactory academic progress
- Student must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen
