Annually Contracted Cooperative Education Coordinator - Humanities and Sciences Division (full-time)
Overview :
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College invites applications for the position of Annually Contracted Co-Op Coordinator (ACC). The position is a full-time position. The ACC's responsibilities are to develop cooperative education / internship positions for students; coordinate and place students into experiential learning opportunities (positions); participate as a team member in supporting programs and activities of the division and college.
This position will coordinate students in Associate of Arts and Associate of Sciences Programs with a special focus on providing experiential learning experiences for College Credit Plus students, in the Humanities and Sciences Division and College-wide as requested.
Essential Duties :
- Develop cooperative education / internship positions and experiential learning opportunities appropriate to the philosophy of the College, staffing, or training needs of the employer, and relevant to program expectations.
- Work with employers and students to ensure appropriate placement, interviews, matching student qualities, aptitudes, interests and career aspirations of students with the requirements and career potential of the program and job.
- Participate in program activities and meetings including interacting with program chair(s) and teaching faculty.
- Coordinate with students' home high schools to align College Credit Plus activities with school needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with the College CCP team and Program Chairs to align CCP activities with College needs and expectations
- Assure that experiential learning of CCP students is conducted in compliance with rules and laws governing the employment of minors when applicable.
- Establish annual goals relevant to program expectations and consistent with the goals of the program, division and college.
- Maintain required records of coordination work and provide required reports.
- Participate in program and divisional efforts for students in assigned programs and participate in program and divisional activities for student recruitment.
- Submit student grades, administrative reports and other paperwork in a thorough and timely manner.
- Attend program, departmental, divisional, and college meetings.
- Attend and contribute to assigned college committees.
- Other appropriate duties as assigned.
