Dean, Engineering & Information Technologies (EIT)
Position Overview : The Dean of the Engineering and Information Technologies (EIT) Division reports directly to the Provost and leads academic programs and services in Engineering Technologies, Information Technologies, Aviation Maintenance, Multimedia and Design, and Welding, offered across multiple campuses. The division also offers a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Land Surveying and various specialized certificates tailored to industry needs.

Core Responsibilities
Academic Leadership & Program Development : Develop and enhance programs by setting strategic goals, creating industry-relevant courses, and integrating new technologies to address community and workforce needs. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence while advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across all programs.
Industry & Community Engagement : Build community and industry partnerships through outreach, collaboration, and participation in local, state, and national forums. Establish strong advisory boards and foster industry partnerships to ensure the division's long-term success.
Curriculum Design & Experiential Learning : Manage curriculum design and program evaluation to meet state, federal, and accreditation standards. Oversee the development of the master class schedule to ensure course availability and timely degree progression. Prioritize experiential learning programs, including internships, co-op programs, and service-learning partnerships, to provide students with practical, real-world experience.
Budget Management & Grant Acquisition : Oversee the division's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across personnel, equipment, and facilities. Actively seek grant opportunities and collaborate with appropriate offices to collect and analyze meaningful data for grant proposals and to inform division strategic initiatives. Assure effective execution of public and private grants by monitoring grant management activities to ensure compliance with guidelines and outcomes.
Faculty & Staff Development : Lead the recruitment, development, and evaluation of faculty and staff while fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. Conduct performance reviews, interpret policy, and ensure continuous professional growth through targeted training and development opportunities in alignment with institutional policies and collective bargaining agreements.
Student Success & Support Services : Oversee student advising, registration, and support services, advancing retention, degree completion, and career readiness. Address student concerns and ensure that grievances are resolved fairly and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications :
- A master's degree from an accredited institution in a discipline related to a program offered within the division
- At least three years of progressive leadership experience in higher education or a related industry
- Experience with program evaluation and improvement
