Position Overview : Coordinate the flow of material into and through various manufacturing departments in order to maximize customer satisfaction by achieving on-time, superior quality shipments.
Essential Functions :
Obtain needed material, tooling, prints, routings necessary to coordinate production schedule flow
Expedite required information or material by contacting Purchasing, Programming, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, or other departments as required or directed by Supervisor
Assist and support direct labor co-workers to assure efficient and timely processing of production requirements through production work centers
Pull parts for various production and assembly areas, load parts, ship parts
Package boxes, crates, tubes, etc. for shipping by UPS, FedEx or truck freight
Pack, shrink-wrap and load new machines on carrier
Run mobile equipment including forklift when needed to move or accumulate material or tooling required for production
Build crates, wood boxes
Inform supervision daily of problems that may delay on-time production scheduling
Receive production order, check or note stock location and date of entry into area, mark parts as to number identity
Compile production needs from work week schedules, priorities and information from other clerks, and finalize backlog of work behind each work center in assigned department
Post work schedules and expedite material required for production to work centers
Take periodic inventory; maintain proper inventory levels on specified items; maintain status reports on specified production parts
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established quality procedures
Accountability for accurate loose ship parts packaging for New Machine shipments & repair orders
Demonstrated ability to safely rig, lift, and insure proper securement of load for shipping all CI products
Document, via photograph, all machine shipments prior to leaving CI facility
Act as temporary Lead-Person when needed
Working knowledge of, and ability to lead Operational Excellence events
Ability to work with outside logistics personnel to accomplish daily goals, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude
Work Experience
Required Experience : 1 to 2 years
Prior work experience in a production or industrial environment
Clerical skills including PC experience
Ability to read and understand assembly prints
Basic reading and writing proficiency
Ability to climb and perform work on a ladder
Ability to multitask
Ability to interpret prints as required
Ability to design & manufacture any required crating or packaging
Prior shipping or receiving experience
Forklift experience
UPS and FedEx shipping knowledge
Tools, Technology and Equipment Used : Power and hand tools, nail gun, forklift, overhead remote crane, side loader, heat gun, ladders, scale, PC terminal

Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions

Education :
Required Degree Level : High School or equivalent.
