Are you ready for your career at CI?Position Summary and Purpose : Operate stacker type electric bridge crane servicing production floor, receiving, and vertical storage racks with movement of materials. Also operate forklift when necessary.Duties and Responsibilities : ESSENTIAL : Check limit switch, brakes, circuit breakers and other safety devices at the beginning of each shiftOperate stacker type electric bridge crane by manipulating hand levers to move or stop cabWhen needed, also operate forklift, side loader, steelyard crane to move materialsReceive oral or written work assignment, pull material from storage, mark and identify all material pulled by part and lot number, deliver to appropriate work areaOrganize steel plate and structural steel when neededAssist in unloading of incoming material shipments using crane and necessary lifting attachmentsUsing pallets and vertical storage racks, stack such items as electric motors, tools, angel brackets, in-process work pieces using forklift truckPerform picking and receiving duties as required and enter data in our ERP systemMaintain a clean and orderly work area and perform all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established quality proceduresPerform picking, receiving, etc duties as required in EpicorEducation and Experience : REQUIRED : High School diploma or certificate of equivalencyValuable But Not Required : 1 year prior warehouse or manufacturing experienceKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, etc.REQUIRED : General knowledge of crane and forklift operationAttention to detail with ability to multitask and follow directionsCommitment to company Core ValuesGeneral PC and computer skillsTools, Technology and Equipment Used : Motorized material handling equipment (stacker crane, forklift, side loader, steelyard crane); chains, slings and other hoisting equipment, hand measuring and marking tools, personal computerPhysical Demands and Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is highly mobile. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching with hands and arms and climbing ladders daily. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.The employee must regularly lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
