Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in electro-mechanical industrial products. The ideal candidate will be a key electronic design contributor for our new product development team while also providing support to customers and production as needed. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development
- Engineer and design microprocessor-based, mixed signal circuit boards for integration into our products
- Develop comprehensive documentation including project logs, test reports, and design evaluations
- Build, test, and refine prototype circuits to meet performance specifications
- Collaborate with Manufacturing on bills of material, documentation, and test fixtures
- Follow established design and development processes while meeting objectives for specifications, applications, and cost targets
- Implement innovative design concepts and foundational technology for product advancement
- Provide clear, timely project status updates to stakeholders
Engineering Support
- Deliver responsive electrical engineering support to production teams and customers for existing products
- Partner with manufacturing, operations, and quality departments to implement process improvements and seamlessly integrate new products
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain meticulous engineering documentation and data systems
- Ensure adherence to ISO requirements and compliance with external certification agencies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree a plus
- 10 years of electrical engineering experience
- In-depth knowledge of engineering design, testing, and validation procedures
- Proven expertise in circuit board design, schematic generation, and PCB layout tools (Orcad/Altium)
- Significant experience with open/closed loop servo mechanisms, motor design, and inverter development
- Demonstrated skills in power supply development, C programming, and industrial process control
