Job Description:
Cinderella, Inc. needs experienced drivers to join our team! We are looking for hard working, professional truck drivers who are seeking a fast paced and rewarding opportunity with an established, growing, family-owned business. POSITION OVERVIEW: Delivers ordered material to customers using a tractor and 48’ lift gate trailers or 26’ lift gate straight trucks. · Full-time hours, some overtime available and required · No weekends · Seasonal positions available from March through September · Home every night (with the exception of 1 or 2 nights in some delivery areas) QUALIFICATIONS: · Must possess a class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with, hazardous materials endorsements (Or able to obtain the endorsement) · Must be confident backing semi into tight busy delivery locations · Must possess 1 year experience within most recent 3 years · Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards · Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations · Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with customers, peers, supervisors, etc.) · Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck, and move material with a manual pallet-jack · Ability to follow instructions and complete required training · Ability to work independently and/or as a team member ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES: · Operate tractor-trailer combination (CDL-A) and/or straight truck (CDL-B), using various leased equipment from multiple manufacturers · Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment · Hook/unhook trailers to/from a tractor · Verify and complete required documentation and reports · Maintain accurate daily logs · Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures · Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch (e.g. delays, arrivals, equipment problems), as required · Demonstrate internal and external customer service · Ensure order/shipment accuracy during the delivery of material by checking in the material with the customer · May be required to perform job duties of a warehouse employee where operationally necessary · Load and unload freight as required · Comply with all applicable laws/ DOT regulations, as well as company policies/procedures · Perform other duties as required |
