JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing and overseeing professional human resources work in one or more major areas of human resource management programs with responsibility for monitoring work processes to ensure quality and quantity standards are met.
STARTING SALARY: $25.65 hourly/ $53,346 annually

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

- Manages day-to-day operations of the functional area assigned.
- Reviews and acts on administrative and operational matters.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for the daily operations of assigned functional area of human resources.
- Prepares and processes documents for the assigned functional area.
- Assists with developing work standards and guidelines and implementing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for assigned area, including providing guidance, training to staff.
- Maintains working relationships with, and provides feedback to, other departments, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure efficient flow of communications and services.
- Assist with the design and update of departmental procedures for efficient and effective operations.
- Monitors workflow, data accuracy, and overall quality of work, assuring processes and procedures are accomplished according to established guidelines and prepares and maintains statistical reports.
- Develops and implements programs and policies of a functional area of human resources.
- Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed in accordance with assigned functional human resources area standards, guidelines, and protocols at county, state, and federal levels.
- Interprets and explains functional area rules and policies to employees, management and other human resource staff.
- Participates in all administrative duties required by the human resources office.
Performs other duties as needed, including those performed by subordinate fiscal, financial, and/or clerical staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
An Associate's degree in Human Resource Management (Administration), Business Management, Public Administration, or a Social or Behavioral Science and four (4) years of professional human resources experience ( recruitment experience preferred ).
Please note: candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies noted will be considered; however, a minimum of four (4) years of professional human resources experience is mandatory.
