Cineverse is seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to oversee company-wide AP functions.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter able to take initiative, detect problems and provide solutions to internal & external stakeholders.  You must have the ability to multi-task and efficiently manage time across competing activities/resources and manage projects/processes under tight deadlines.

Essential Functions 

1. Works closely with the AP team in India on all daily activities.
2. Manages vendor set-up and AP sub-ledger ensuring vendor data is accurate and updated.
3. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of the entire process as it relates to processing of invoices, payment of invoices, and communicating with external vendors.
4. Prepare reconciliations and roll forwards.
5. Support the month-end close process.
6. Assist with the quarterly reviews and annual audit of the company’s financial statements.
7. Assist with any IRS audit as needed.
8. Ensure invoices are coded to the correct general ledger account.
9. Responsible for preparing/reviewing 1099 tax forms.
10. Makes recommendations to improve payment process.
11. Supervise the implementation of systems/submodules to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in the management and processing of AP.
12. Ensure compliance with state and local tax reporting.
13. Ensure all accounts payable procedures comply with all relevant Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
14. Research all disputed payment issues with relevant vendors.
15. Assist in the budget process.
16. Special projects as necessary.

 Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum 2-7 years experience with Accounting Systems
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting\Finance preferred
3. Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
4. Hands on experience in Netsuite is required
5. Knowledge Scrypt Ai, Concur are preferred
6. Prior experience in handling vendors for AP tasks including email & verbal communication is required
7. Must be willing to work flexible hours remotely
8. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
9. Highly motivated, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
10. Ideal candidate can execute work and oversee QC of AP work on a weekly schedule
