A Strong understanding of Specialty Pharmacy min 3 years
Experience working across specialty pharmacy and payer reporting managed care working with RFPs that are going out to insurance companies
Position Summary :
The RFP & Contract Specialist role is responsible for coordinating RFP responses by leveraging information from our database of responses as well as coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs) from all areas of the business applicable to both managed care and manufacturer pharmaceutical opportunities. This position will also support the contracting team in reviewing contracts and providing direction on redlines as outlined in the work instruction.
Essential Functions :
The role of the RFP & Contract Specialist Position will encompass but will not be limited to the following activities :
Responsible for tracking and managing proposal updates version control and archiving of proposals.
Responsible to maintain database responses and ensure up to date and accurate.
Once an RFP has been approved by the Governance Committee as a strategic opportunity the RFP& contract specialist will begin to populate responses from RFP response database
Responsible for coordinating additional responses from appropriate SMEs across the business
Responsible for reviewing responses to ensure response meets strategic objectives and for accuracy completeness spelling and grammatical errors
Responsible for coordinating reviewing and approving of RFP submission as outlined
Partner with contracting team to review contracts begin redlining and feedback process in accordance with work instruction process
Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience with 4 years of experience responding to salesrelated RFPs to external clients policy documentation or Accreditation credentialing supporting sales
Strong clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Experience working within a sales organization with demonstrable results
Responsible for coordinating reviewing and approving of RFP submission as outlined
Proofreading professional layout and minimal graphic design skills a plus
Healthcare industry RFP tool and / or Technical experience a plus
Ability to quickly and enthusiastically adjust to changing environment and easily integrate advances in Technology and processes
Advanced knowledge of MS Office; specifically Word Outlook and PowerPoint
