CNC Project Engineer- NX/Fanuc/Siemens

JOB TITLE: Project Engineer – NX CAM
LOCATION: Lafayette, IN
ON SITE/HYBRID/REMOTE: On site
SALARY: $45.00 - $47.00/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
•    Member of the Engine components machining manufacturing engineering planning team 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Develop/edit Siemens NX CAM Program 
•    NX Program readiness for new CNC machine purchase and conversion of old programs 
•    Create stage wise process 3D Model & drawing in Siemens NX.  
•    Cutting tool selection, validation and create 3D model & drawing.  
•    Perform NC Program validation using simulation tools (Vericut) 
•    Coordinate with ME for machining prove out activities on need basis 
•    Perform machining cycle time optimization study and identify quality, velocity and cost opportunities for improvement 
•    Conduct weekly meeting and review status of various project activities  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•    BS/MS [Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing] OR Associates degree [Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing
•    4 years NX CAM experience 
•    4 years Machining experience  

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
•    Manual NC Programming on Fanuc/Siemens control 
•    Siemens Offline NX CAM Program, Vericut for simulation 
•    Metal cutting operations in Turning, Milling, Drilling, grinding, Tapping, Reaming, Boring etc. and prove out experience in CNC machine type like..VMC, HMC, VTC, 5-Axis, HTC
