JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
The main function of a Mechanical Engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining product and industry knowledge. You will work in a team-oriented environment that accelerates operational efficiency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create designs of basic to moderate complexity from reference parts/assemblies in Creo 3D modeling software
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of the product
• Suggest methods to improve operational efficiency
• Work cross-functionally with different teams
• Prepare and present design reviews
• Conduct system readiness summaries
• Provide guidance to machine configuration for testing/validation
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5 years of industry experience
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Design experience with Creo (preferred) or other 3D CAD software
• Hands-on mechanical experience and/or farming background
• Heavy Equipment/mining industry experience preferred
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
