Position Title: Business Systems Analyst- Mid Level
Location: Huntsville, AL or Chantilly, VA
Clearance Level Required: Top Secret
Overview:
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support mission-critical programs by capturing, managing, and translating mission user needs into actionable development priorities. The ideal candidate will work closely with product teams, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure that user requirements are effectively captured, prioritized, and implemented to enhance usability and user engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization through concept development and user story writing.
- Facilitate business-focused requirements gathering to support product teams and product owners in defining backlogs while ensuring the user’s perspective is prioritized.
- Focus on improved usability, user experience, and driving user adoption and engagement.
- Identify and document core business needs in various formats, including concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories.
- Define and document business rules and construct workflow diagrams as necessary.
- Provide expert consultation on complex projects, evaluating the business implications of technology implementations in both current and future environments.
- Analyze, interpret, and derive insights from various documents and business inputs.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to evaluate multiple options in dynamic situations.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance (required).
- 6 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and workflow documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience translating business needs into actionable product development priorities.
- Proficiency in workflow diagramming, business rule documentation, and requirements decomposition.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with defense, intelligence, or government contracting environments.
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles to enhance product usability.
