Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to design, develop, and implement cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks for PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud automation, DevSecOps best practices, application migration strategies, and cloud security. This role requires expertise in cloud-native solutions, optimizing cost and performance, and ensuring secure, high-availability cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks for PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS.
- Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
- Analyze applications to recommend migration strategies, identifying which platforms can move, migrate, or be deployed into a cloud environment.
- Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses for cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premise services.
- Develop and implement cloud-native applications, migrate on-premises applications to the cloud, and troubleshoot cloud stacks.
- Establish and manage policies for cloud service usage and requests for new technology.
- Ensure secure cloud environments, meeting availability and uptime requirements.
- Independently design and develop new cloud software solutions and major enhancements to existing cloud applications.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance (required).
- 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, automation, and software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud service models.
- Experience with cloud automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and optimize cloud resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience working in classified or DoD environments.
- Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for cloud automation.
