Position Title: Senior BI Developer

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with expertise in Power BI, data analysis, ETL processes, and big data technologies to support mission-critical data initiatives. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and optimize BI and data warehousing solutions while ensuring best practices in data transformation, visualization, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Utilize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to extract data from various source systems, transform it based on business requirements, and load it into target systems.
- Write complex SQL statements, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views to implement business intelligence and data warehousing solutions.
- Apply expertise in data aggregation, transformation, and management to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Develop and document system architecture, software development processes, and reporting platforms.
- Conduct performance tuning to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Work across multiple phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment of BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation in support of BI and data warehousing solutions.
- Recommend best practices and solutions for optimizing BI platforms and data warehouse architectures.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance (required).
- 8 years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, ETL processes, and Power BI development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data query, data analysis, data visualization, and data transformation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and database performance tuning.
- Solid foundation in data warehousing and reporting platform concepts.
- Experience developing BI reports and dashboards using BI software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with multiple BI environments and tools.
- Experience working with big data technologies and cloud-based data platforms.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
- Understanding of security best practices in data management.
