Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and manage application development projects in support of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work on integrating third-party components, developing custom capabilities, improving existing processes, and automating operations and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and manage IT infrastructure application development projects.
- Integrate third-party components and develop new custom software capabilities.
- Modify existing code to improve functionality and performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation for operations and maintenance tasks.
- Work under the guidance of lead architects to design, build, and deploy applications, including those for:
- Large-scale data processing
- Computationally intensive statistical modeling
- Advanced analytics
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including:
- Planning
- Requirements gathering
- Development
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct technical project milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, and resource estimation.
- Follow development best practices and share knowledge with team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance (required).
- 6 years of experience in application development, software engineering, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C , or other relevant languages.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.
- Proficiency in software development methodologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-security environments, such as defense or intelligence sectors.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Understanding of machine learning or artificial intelligence applications
