Engineer (4-5 months Project-specific)

1. Image Preparation and Testing:
   • Create and test laptop images to ensure they meet company standards.
   • Perform quality checks on images and make adjustments as necessary.
   • Execute tests according to the established checklist to ensure all configurations are correct.
2. VDI Environment Setup:
   • Set up and configure the Azure VDI environment.
   • Conduct performance and compatibility testing for VDI and make necessary adjustments.
   • Assist with the migration of users to the new VDI environment, ensuring that the system is functioning properly.
3. Laptop Setup and Deployment:
   • Configure laptops, including imaging, peripheral setup, and asset tagging.
   • Update inventory management systems with the new laptop details.
   • Provide onsite and remote support for laptop deployment as needed.
4. User Support and Troubleshooting:
   • Offer user support for VDI and laptops, resolving any technical issues.
   • Troubleshoot post-migration issues and provide solutions.
   • Create FAQs, guides, and documentation to assist users during and after the migration.
5. Documentation and Guide Creation:
   • Document all setup processes, migration steps, and configurations.
   • Develop troubleshooting guides and user support materials.
6. Collaboration with Team:
   • Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure the project stays on track.
   • Participate in regular progress meetings and report any issues or risks.

• Virtualization Technologies: Experience with Azure VDI, VMware Horizon, or other VDI technologies.
• System Administration: Practical experience in Windows OS, network administration, and virtual machine configuration and management.
• Image Creation and Deployment: Experience in creating, deploying, and managing laptop/system images.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve hardware, software, and network-related technical issues.
• User Support Experience: Experience providing end-user support, resolving technical issues, and creating FAQs.
• Documentation Skills: Strong experience in creating procedural documentation, guides, and manuals.

• Azure Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate)
• Experience with Large-Scale VDI Deployments
• Project Management Tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project)
• Security and Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of system security and data protection best practices.
