As an IT System Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and implementing critical production systems and interfacing software and hardware that ensure seamless business operations and collaboration with our Japan-based headquarters. This role requires expertise in systems such as AS400, MC Frames, and specialized Japan-based software. You will manage and maintain global IT systems related to Japan HQ, as well as spearhead the development and enhancement of new and existing systems. You will collaborate with local IT personnel and report to the Operations and Executive Management teams, as well as Japan HQ IT, based on business needs and operational requirements.

Major Responsibilities:
Generate/implement improvement and maintenance procedures on AS400, MC Frames and necessary global information systems software and equipment. Independently prepare for internal and external audits and compliance regulations, which may be highly sensitive and confidential in nature. Develop and implement contingency plans based on third party or business requirements.
Qualifications::
Education:
At least 5 years experience in computer systems maintenance or equivalent skill and 2 year related experience including Microsoft networking, TCP/IP, PC support, Active directory, Cisco switching, and AS400. Experience with Japanese culture and language required.

- Proficient with Windows OS, AS400
- Knowledge of network architecture, system architecture and fundamentals of coding required for key infrastructure maintenance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluent in Japanese language
- Familiar with a range of software and hardware
- Training in MC Frames, AS400 related systems including Japan IT required training.
Education:
- Background education; Associates or Bachelors, Technical degree or beyond in computer sciences or equivalent experience.
