Network Engineer

1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
   1. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
   2. Implement and manage security protocols to protect network systems and ensure data integrity.
   3. Resolve network issues promptly and provide support to IT staff and end-users affected by network-related incidents.
   4. Develop and maintain robust network backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
   5. Continuously monitor and optimize network performance to meet organizational needs and enhance user experience.
   6. Understand and follow clients’ requests and instructions to ensure network solutions align with business requirements.
   7. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve network services.

1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
   1. Operate and maintain infrastructure in good condition including routers, switches, Wi-Fi Access Points, Firewall, VPN concentrator, Datacenter, LAN/WAN/Voice Network, and Microsoft Teams Phone service.
   2. Work together with the Network Manager to manage and implement improvements and renewal Network infrastructure projects.
   3. Monitoring and organizing all tasks to contractors appropriately provides good examples and suggestions for subordinates if they have any difficulties.
   4. Preventing outages and minimizing downtime by establishing redundant systems and/or management solutions.
   5. Troubleshoot network problems, investigate root-cause and solve issues in a timely manner.
   6. Negotiate, and work with IT vendors for troubleshooting issues, for both maintenance and new projects.
   7. Research new technologies and solutions for network infrastructure improvement.
   8. Plan and propose improvements and renewal of network infrastructure continuously and timely according to life cycle and depreciation schedules.
   9. Create and update documents and information accurately among network resources, operational procedures and rules.
   10. Cooperate with IT Platform Service department to enhance security, productivity and efficiency.

1. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:   　
   1. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
   2. 3-7 years’ experience in network engineering or IT support.
   3. Practical experience with network design implementation and troubleshooting.
   4. Advantageous if you hold CompTIA Network , Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), etc.
   5. Very flexible mindset & challenging personality against sudden big change of request/workflow/rules/responsibility range/environment.

1. SKILLS: 　　
   1. Proficiency in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF.
   2. Knowledge of network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
   3. Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python or Bash.
   4. Strong troubleshooting skills.
   5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
   6. Technical documentation.
   7. Team oriented personality.
   8. Language English Required/ Japanese Bilingual Preferable.

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
