Job Description:

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager plays a key role in the financial and performance oversight and optimization of the portfolio and is in constant interaction with the Business Management and Headquarters teams, with a strong focus on value creation and proactive monitoring. Responsible for supporting the Head of Global Financial Planning & Analysis, in this position, you will participate in the financial workstreams of the North America portfolio either in a ‘service provider/consultant’ or ‘asset monitoring’ role, as applicable. You will also be responsible for coordinating and maintaining our compliance program with respect to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. (SOX)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial and performance oversight and optimization of the North America region portfolio of assets supporting the Management Team. This entails leading with an extremely proactive approach the assets performance, including operational benchmarking and financial modelling reviews, to propose, lead and coordinate value creating initiatives for Cintra and its affiliates.
  • Manage the scoping, risk assessment and development of the annual SOX plan.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of financial risk and control deficiencies. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management and the audit committee on the status of SOX compliance, control deficiencies, and remediation progress.
  • Consult on continuous updating of process documentation, including narratives and risk/control matrices.
  • Project management and/or ad-hoc analysis of country or global initiatives that require business and finance team coordination in relation to any financial, accounting, tax and business process with a value creation, simplicity, and cost-effectiveness focus.
  • Collaboration with the corporate teams of Cintra and Ferrovial (M&A, Corporate Finance & Project Finance, Treasury, ESG, Innovation, etc.) building a vendor business case, improving the financing, tax, and accounting performance of the portfolio.
  • Support the company reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, audit coordination and financial compliance processes interacting with the CEO, COO and CFOs of the affiliates.
  • Detailed review of month-end financials and related financial analysis of the corresponding affiliates.
  • Frequent interaction with the Finance teams of the affiliates to ensure high-quality standards and best practice sharing with the best leverage of systems and resources.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • 7-10 years’ experience in related fields, which may include Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Controlling, Business Process Analysis, Audit, Financial Analysis, Project Finance or Economics
  • 5 years of experience in SOX compliance, internal auditing, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and related regulations.
  • Experience with Financial Models and Project Finance a plus.
  • Master’s degree or CFA candidate a plus

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially within Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point, as well as PC based programs
  • Familiarity with SAP accounting software is preferred
  • Experience with reporting and dashboards tools will be a plus (ex. PowerBI, Business Objects, Qlikview, SAC)
