Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing guidance and support while ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Compliance & Policies: Ensure company policies align with federal, state, and local employment laws; assist in updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Support benefits enrollment, answer employee benefit-related questions, and coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate compensation and deductions.
- HRIS & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate employee records, update HR systems, and generate reports as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2 years of HR experience in a generalist or similar role.
- Skills: Strong understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in HRIS systems (Paylocity), Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll/benefits software is preferred. Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds in the automotive industry is a plus. Advanced excel skills including report building, data merging, V-lookup and pivot tables are required.
