Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identifying problems with diesel engines and vehicles through diagnostic tests, visual inspections
- Performing repairs on diesel engines, including replacing parts, fixing mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring the engine operates efficiently
- Communicate clearly and professionally with group leader and advisor
- Follow safety procedures when working with tools and equipment
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Completion of a diesel technology program or vocational training; ASE certification in diesel engines or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience working with diesel engines, including diagnostics and repair of systems such as fuel, exhaust, and electrical, typically 2-3 years in a diesel repair shop or similar setting.
- Precision and attention to detail when performing repairs and maintenance on diesel engines
- Valid drivers license
