Warehouse Specialist / Back Up Driver

With locations in Troy, Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Brossard, New York and Atlanta, we have an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Warehouse Specialist / Back-Up Driver for our Troy, Michigan market.

As a Warehouse Specialist, you are responsible for shipping, handling, sorting, counting, and packaging of materials. This position operates industrial powered lift equipment and conducts or assists with physical inventory counts. Maintains work area and follows procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

As a Back-Up Driver, you are responsible for conducting deliveries and pick-ups when needed, loading and unloading the truck, following traffic laws, and maintaining a valid CLD driver's license.

Responsibilities:

The duties of the Warehouse Specialist/Back-Up Driver include, but are not limited to:

-Move slabs of stone in a safe manner using property machinery and protective equipment.

-Communicate professionally when interacting with clients.

-Fills customer invoices, checks product codes, cleans and packs inventory items, and loads them onto company/customers vehicles.

-Inspects material for defects, scratches or other damage prior to customer pick-up or delivery.

-Follows all company safety and accident procedures while operating company vehicles or equipment.

-Place all materials, per customer, to designated area in warehouse.

-Proper loading and securing of freight to prevent movement and allow safe transport

-Deliver material to clients safely, as needed.

-Observe and abide by all state and international rules.

-Organizes and cleans warehouse space and company vehicles.

-Reports any customer problems or concerns immediately to direct Supervisor.

-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs
• Forklift experience preferred
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Takes great pride in providing excellent Customer Service
• Team player, ability to multi task, strong work ethic, detail oriented
• Possess basic mathematical skills
• Valid Drivers Licence or CDL B.
• Clean driving record

This is a Full-Time position, hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
