Position Summary
The Décor Assembly position is an essential and vital part of CIP Retail’s manufacturing operation. The position utilizes a combination of carpentry and assembly skills, while working with a variety of mediums (i.e. various types of wood, metal, plastics), to build and assemble customer projects. The ability to read blueprints and attention to detail are important components of this position. Your success will directly affect the overall look and feel of each customer’s project.
Core Responsibilities
· Read simple blueprints or instructions on building the necessary components
· Perform detailed wood working
· Ability to use powered hand tools and table saws
· Proficiently read a tape measure down to the 16th
· Ability to follow instructions and come up with creative solutions to ensure products are built with precision and stability.
· Clearly and frequently communicate with team leaders, co-workers, and management on the progress of the project and anticipated completion date
· Detail oriented and team focused
Additional Responsibilities
· Due to small office and manufacturing setting, individual must be willing to aid the company in other functions when required
· Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
Requirements
Knowledge and Skill Requirement
· Use of power tools such as, drills, sanders, saws, and screwdrivers
· Two or more years of carpentry experience, preferred
· Ability to read blueprints and schematics
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs
· HS Diploma or Equivalent
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds
Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Work Environment
Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery noise and potential hazards
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
