Facilities Engineer

Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting facility equipment, including HVAC systems, water purification, and clean room environments.
• Respond to technical and operational issues related to facility infrastructure.
• Monitor facility systems for any abnormalities and ensure timely intervention.
• Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure adherence to GMP and other relevant regulatory standards for the pharmaceutical industry.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
• Assist in audits and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Project Support:
• Participate in facility improvement projects, including installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Support energy efficiency projects and sustainability initiatives within the facility.
• Assist in evaluating technical specifications for new machinery and infrastructure updates.
• Safety & Risk Management:
• Ensure safety standards are met and that all work adheres to the company’s safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections and report any safety hazards or potential risks.
• Support emergency response protocols, including addressing facility-related emergencies.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with the operations, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless facility support.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for equipment servicing and repair work.
• Communicate facility performance and status to relevant internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and facility operations.
• Familiarity with GMP, OSHA, and other relevant regulations (preferred).

Experience

• Pharma relevant experience is a plus.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in a similar role (preferred but not required).

Skills/ Competencies

• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering design software (preferred).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail with the ability to document and manage compliance data.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
