POSITION PURPOSE:
We are seeking a hospitality focused and organized individual to join our team as a Director Of Procurement. Responsible for responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement strategies, policies, and operations for a hospitality organization. This role ensures that all goods, services, and resources are sourced and delivered in a cost-effective, timely, and quality-focused manner to meet the organization's operational needs. The Director of Procurement plays a pivotal role in maintaining strong supplier relationships, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and driving sustainability initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
- Forecast demand for goods and services to support the operational and strategic needs of the hospitality business.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure compliance with quality and service standards.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, bidding, contracting, and delivery.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and services to support the smooth functioning of hospitality operations.
- Set performance goals and regularly evaluate team achievements.
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational policies in all procurement activities.
- Stay in tune of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement (Import/Domestic)
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPIERENCE AND SKILLS
- 8 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as EXCEL.
- Deep understanding of supply chain management principles.
- Importing standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of contract and vendor management
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to move within office settings, attend meetings, and travel to vendor sites or hospitality locations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Flexibility to reach, bend, and stoop.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
