Financial Analyst

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for revenue and profitability analysis; budgeting and forecasting; and reporting, analysis and modeling of material business performance enterprise wide. Such analyses performed will encompass financial and other quantitative measures with a focus on Revenue, CPOR, labor expense management, operational performance and employee turnover/retention. Ensure that analysis for the company is delivered with timeliness and accuracy for brand, company, and owner profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

• Reports to the Director of Finance to prepare financial plans, operating forecasts, and quantify the business strategies.
• Review and report on sales and revenue streams, documenting variances in assumptions, trends, and utilizing recent information to frame future forecasts.
• Assist with the financial models, business narratives and presentations.
• Analyze and interpret financial data (payroll and operating expenses) to help identify ways to increase effectiveness, find expense savings, and improve asset utilization; this will include the development and production of recurring reports as well as ad hoc reports that are requested by operational leadership.
• Tracks, analyzes and reports management information that is predictive and actionable.
• Focus on continuous and measurable improvement in the Company’s financial and operational processes and practices.
• Identifies and communicates potential risks to the Director of Finance for further analysis, observation and/or remediation.
• Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in revenue, expenses, finance, general business conditions, labor and other related areas.
• Track performance and develop measurement tools and controls to successfully identify and assess operational performance and needs.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence reporting.
• Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management with recommendations for action plans.
• Support the finance department in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Other duties as requested by the Director of Finance.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPIERENCE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA a plus)
• 2–4 years of experience in a financial analyst or similar role (hospitality industry preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools (e.g., Dynamics, Solver, Acumatica or similar platforms)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasional lifting of files, documents, or office supplies (up to 15 lbs.)
• May be required to attend in-person meetings or presentations within the office or off-site.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
