The International Logistics Coordinator role will be the lead coordinator for managing international shipments for Cirba Solutions. You will be required to work independently to root cause problems and implement sustainable solutions that maximize network efficiency and drive bottom line results for the company. This role also involves the preparation of Customs documentation to ensure that any shipments either imported or exported meet all applicable laws so that entry or export can occur. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely submission of customs entries for clearance through U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) and for processing orders and overseeing the cycle of order fulfillment. This includes customer service, on-time delivery of service, quality, and cost. You will be responsible for keeping logistics management and senior leadership informed of network health, constraints, and corrective actions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner
- Demonstrate mastery with respect to customs brokerage products’ standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Required to be fully conversant with import and export laws and regulations. Maintain your understanding and keep up-to-date with changes as they occur. Advise customers on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements and all other customs related matters.
- Provide correct DOT regulated documents (i.e. SDS, Label, and BOLs), purchase orders and packaging instructions to customers and brokers when scheduling.
- Calculate total costs (i.e. freight rates, duties and taxes)
- Require signing documents under a Power of Attorney on behalf of clients.
- Develop carrier strategy for a growing international logistics business and negotiate freight rates.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that maximize network efficiency and drive bottom line cost savings for the company.
- Work independently to root cause problems and implement sustainable solutions.
- Lead logistics projects with close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and monitor all customs permits, licenses and certificates, ensuring they are kept up to date.
- Order fulfillment including, but not limited to order quoting, creation, scheduling, and tracking
- Plan and track the shipment of materials according to customer requirements
- Generates inbound and outbound paperwork including manifests, e-manifests, BOLs, etc…
- Ensure timely communication with all internal and external customers to provide quality service
- Provide quotes to industry-lane customers utilizing tiered pricing structure; forward higher-level customers to associated sales rep
- Clearly identifying root cause of problems occurring in logistics, vendor management, or logistics quality of the business
- Work with QEH&S to close incidents related to inbound and outbound orders (including timely communication to Sales Support, Sales, and Management), which may impact service and quality levels
- All other duties as assigned
