Role Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing sitework projects from inception to completion, leading teams, managing client relationships, and driving business growth through effective Project Management and bidding and estimating.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion while maintaining quality standards.
- Assisting in building processes and procedures to ensure the highest quality and efficiency on every project.
Bidding and Estimating:
- Prepare accurate and competitive bids for sitework projects by assessing material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and ensure a thorough understanding of project scope and requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate project teams to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and support for employee development.
Client Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open lines of communication and managing expectations.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Compliance and Safety:
- Enforce adherence to safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
Financial Oversight:
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance, implementing cost-saving strategies where applicable.
- Prepare detailed project progress and financial reports for clients and supervisors
Problem-Solving:
- Identify potential risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address and resolve project-related issues promptly to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience within the sitework industry, focusing on commercial and residential projects.
- Experience over 2 years can substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Proven experience in bidding and estimating, with an understanding of sitework-related costs (excavation, grading, utilities, etc.).
- Proficiency in construction software and estimating tools (e.g., Winex, Procore, or similar).
- Knowledge of local industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients to achieve project goals.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software.
