Master Baker – Alaska Commissary Facility
We are seeking a highly skilled Master Baker to oversee our Commissary Facility baking team in Anchorage, AK. The Master Baker will be responsible for overseeing the production of a wide variety of baked goods, ensuring the highest quality and consistency. This role requires extensive baking knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional products.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 (Depending on Experience).

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and baking of a wide range of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
Develop and refine recipes to enhance product offerings and meet customer preferences.
Train and mentor junior bakers, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards are maintained.
Ensure all baked goods meet quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to ensure efficient production.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute production schedules.
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a baker, with a strong background in a commissary or commercial bakery setting.
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to develop and refine recipes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, including freezers, coolers, and production equipment areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and climbing.
