What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Corporate Internal Auditor position at Circle K?
Role Responsibility:
- Participate in the annual process around ICFR (internal controls over financial reporting), including the risk assessment process.
- Assist the Manager Internal Audit in the evaluation of design and operating effectiveness of ICFR/SOX key controls.
- Oversee the implementation of the appropriate ICFR key controls.
- Plan and perform audit mandates assigned (financial, operations, special projects). Take on responsibility of complex audit procedures.
- Lead and complete all audit mandates (including operational audits) in accordance with audit standards.
- Participate in reviewing the Company’s different processes and suggest modifications designed to increase efficiency, performance and results.
- Participate in the review of the Company’s practices while ensuring that they fully comply with established policies.
- Act as a business partner to management regarding internal controls, process and systems efficiency and risk management.
- Prepare and present audit reports to process owners.
- Follow-up on implementation of action plans agreed to in audit.

Education:
- University Degree in Accounting/Management/Finance combined with an accounting (CPA/ACCA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation - or in the process to obtain the designation.
- Knowledge of the COSO Framework.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience.
- Experience in the retail industry is desirable.
