Position Overview : We are seeking an ambitious and customer-oriented Branch Manager to lead and grow one of our strategic locations. This role is pivotal in driving business development, enhancing customer satisfaction, and scaling both revenue and gross profit margins. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in freight brokerage or logistics, an extensive carrier network, and proven experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Development & Client Acquisition :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the branch’s client base.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance service offerings, tailored to the specific needs of clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and industry partners.
- Utilize industry knowledge and market trends to drive sales and revenue growth.
Operations & Team Management :
Oversee the formation and development of operations teams to support new and existing clients.Ensure that all operations are conducted efficiently, aligning with company standards and client expectations.Implement best practices in logistics operations, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and productivity.Manage and mentor a growing workforce, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Financial Performance & Growth :
Drive the branch’s financial performance by scaling gross profit margins and revenue.Monitor financial metrics and KPIs, implementing corrective actions as necessary to achieve targets.Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising on service quality.Carrier Network & Relationship Management :
Leverage an extensive carrier network to ensure the availability of capacity and competitive pricing.Maintain and grow relationships with carriers, negotiating rates and terms to benefit both the branch and clients.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies in carrier management.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or a similar field.Proven track record in business development and revenue growth.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and operations teams.Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and scaling a workforce.Extensive carrier network and strong relationship-building skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Must possess an active customer base and be capable of brokering freight right away.What We Offer :
