Summary of Position:
The HR Director position is an integral part of the leadership team reporting directly to the CHRO. This role is pivotal in developing HR strategies that align with our mission and objectives, ensuring compliance with employment, healthcare and other State of Federal regulations, and enhancing employee engagement and retention. The HR Director works in close contact with other business leaders as a business partner to drive recruitment, employee relations, coaching, performance management, employee engagement, as well as all other functional HR areas.
Essential duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively delivers and oversees the administration compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Develops and implements HR strategies that support organizational goals.
- Collaborates with CHRO to drive workforce planning and talent management initiatives.
- Foster a company culture that emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, high performance and how to get to “yes.”
- Coach and counsel management teams about HR programs and issues.
- Recruits, , hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Provides oversight to the daily operations of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Partners with CHRO in development and implementation of departmental budget.
- Works with leaders to identify HR training needs and deliver appropriate training.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Basic Knowledge and Skills:
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in human resources, five years’ HR management experience with the title of HR Director or HR Manager, and two years of healthcare.
- Certification: Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
- The ideal HR Director candidate will bring sound management experience and solid HR practices managing all functional areas of human resources. This position requires a willingness to roll up your sleeves to ensure the day-to-day HR operations of the department are fully compliant and sound while also having the proven ability to function at a strategic level.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Human Resources or related field required OR equivalent combination of education and experience required.
