Machinist I - Bench/Hydro 1st shift

Position Title - Machinist I Bench/Hydro
Position Summary
The entry level Bench/Hydro role is responsible for removing irregularities, surplus metal-ragged edges, burrs, etc., from parts.
Principal Activities
- Prepare for and test subject parts to varying pressures.
- Remove burrs, fins, core wire, sand, and irregularities from unmachined surfaces of various parts by filing, grinding.
- Clean/wash parts
- Use hand and power grinders, scrapers, files, buffing equipment, vibratory tumbling machine, and media.
- High pressure washer, holding, and clamping devices, wrenches, pressure gages, water, air, sealing solutions, hoist-operated cranes, and other lifting equipment.
- Utilize multi-function electric or air-crane (where available) to lift, move, load, and unload parts to perform work center functions.
- Properly fill out all paperwork and keep good housekeeping.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Required to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Self-driven and able to self-manage.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Lift, pull, push. Continuously, walk/move from one machine to as many as three.
- Physically, load and unload parts
Education & Experience
- 1 - 3 years of manufacturing and/or machining experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
